'SUB/LIMINAL SPACE'
Suddenly, I was here anew.
I have been here before.
My eyes are still adjusting, expectedly stinging again.
As time passes, I’ll carry on elsewhere, but inevitably, I return here as I have many times.
Like before, I’ll return, unconscious of my state ‘til I’ve left.
You’ve been here before.
You’ve been here before?
Was it the same, abrupt, unconscious, and stinging?
Your eyes also needed to adjust, inevitably, again.
Individuals led in cycles by an arcane light.
When your eyes adjust to the dark, there is no question–
When we unite, even less so
With lights joined together, the obscure fades,
Consciously, and without doubt, ushered out of impasse.
SUB/LIMINAL SPACE' was meant to capture the liminal and select feeling of a cycle of life- not its beginning or its end, but as a way to address the currents and seasons of said cycles. Recognition that subconscious rituals and habits form a side of identity, develops into concepts of the multiple self and the many faces of which, that express and conceal with the changing of season. Independent of personal feeling, seasons cycle, and draws identity to morph to its suitable adaptation. To reflect stylistic variations one encounters while cycling through life, a cast of four photographers and seven models were enlisted to document the work, imprinting their own individual signatures and affects through a captured moment. This collection was featured at December Thieves for a daytime pop-up and evening reception in late October, 2025.

Thanks to everyone who attended, but especially to Lana Barakat and her team at December Thieves for giving me this opportunity to present this collection to my community in a personal and interactive way, and for giving me a platform on which to stand for something as an artist, and make a difference in the world through this brand. In collaboration with December Thieves, sales from this event night helped to make a donation of about eight-hundred dollars to two organizations with the mission of Palestinian aid: The Palestinian Students Scholarship Fund, and Ele Elna Elak.
